Our 2008 Hero has successfully completed his semester of school and internship with a fire department in the Florida. Our Hero will be continuing with his goal of becoming a fire inspector this fall when he attends specialized Fire College. Our Hero has stated that he has been offered positions upon completion of this training. He will also volunteer again this fall at local camp for pediatric burn victims, and will continue his work with a national Veterans advocacy organization. Our Hero has told his VA case worker that he could not have achieved all of this without the support of the very generous people at the Welcoming Home our Heroes organization, as he was able to focus all of his energy on his work.
